Service Advisor

Knapheide Installation Center in McHenry, IL is looking to hire a Service Advisor to provide service support of all Knapheide industrial products, ensure quality support and customer satisfaction, and act as a customer advocate for service and repair. This is a full-time position that works Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM; additional overtime as needed or required.

What you'll be doing:

• Foster positive customer relations through effective communications; responding quickly to escalations and inquiries in a cooperative, supportive and professional manner; serves as customer liaison to parts and service department
• Take incoming service calls
• Input repair orders in system with description of repair
• Review schedule with for possible vacancies and possible changes
• Estimate of repairs and timeline
• Create warranty work orders with follow-up, enters warranty claims
• Recommend an appropriate service repair solution and manages delivery expectations
• Regularly interact with the Mechanics and Parts Department, Salesmen and Customers

Experience you'll need

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience with problem solving and be able to analyze data and make decisions based on those factors.
• Must be computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Must be a detail oriented person with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

Experience you'll need:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Must possess a current, valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Normal standing, bending, walking & lifting associated with shop floor environment
