Planning and Inventory Control Manager

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Taylor, MO is looking to hire a skilled Planning and Inventory Control Manager to plan, manage and monitor the flow of materials through planning, inventory, and production to resolve supply and production bottlenecks.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop, track, review and report on planning and inventory control related metrics which reflect performance at the individual, department, and company level.
• Engage the staff to leverage Six Sigma tools to identify root cause, develop and execute plans to achieve target goals through continuous improvement.
• Assist PIC Manager of Il and MO with staff management that includes assigning and directing work, appraising performance, training and retention, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Increase the productive capacity of the working groups by initiating new ideas, processes, and technologies.
• Approve expenditures for supplies and materials.
• Participate in daily scheduling meetings providing updates on material status on all open customer orders.
• Maintain an on-going cycle count program and conduct annual inventory.
• Actively monitor demand and the availability and flow of materials through planning, inventory, and production to identify and resolve supply and production bottlenecks.
• Maintain database for transportation damage for daily chassis.

Experience you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
• Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Accounting preferred.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for planning and inventory.
• Proven track record of change management, excellence in developing people and facilitating cross-functional teams. Expertise in utilization.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook).
