Driver Coordinator

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Orlando, FL is looking to hire a Driver Coordinator to manage coordination of delivery of completed vehicles to customer locations. This full-time position works Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM; additional overtime as needed or required.

Position Overview:

Responsible for coordination of delivery of completed vehicles to customer locations. May also drive chase vehicle to transport drivers back from customer locations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Directs completed unit deliveries scheduled by communicating with multiple part-time drivers.
2. Coordinates local trips for outsourced work on selected units.
3. Responsible for routine maintenance schedule for chase and tow behind vehicles
4. Keep assigned vehicles free from damage, in acceptable condition, and consistently clean in a manner.
5. Operate vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly, as assigned.
6. Safely transport equipment to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
7. Maintain driver logs as applicable and complete pre-trip inspections

Position Requirements:

1. Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License or valid operator's license, depending on vehicle they are driving.
2. Must have a driving record in good standing. To be in good standing, driver must present a current DMV printout report with none of the violations below:
3. No major violations (DWI, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene) within the last three years.
4. No more than (2) two moving violations in the last three years.
5. Meet all Federal and State requirements for certification and CDL licensing, including current DOT medical certification

Education and/or Certification Requirements:

1. High School graduate or GED

Physical Demands:

1. Able to repeatedly bend at the waist and back, twist and rotate hands, wrists, shoulders, elbows, and forearms.
2. Able to grip and grasp repeatedly and operate foot pedals.
3. Able to climb to a height of 4 ft. Capable of driving over an extended period of time, up to the maximum allowable times, safely, under a variety of conditions, including night driving.
4. Meet all company requirements as outlined in the driver policy.
5. Complete any and all other tasks assigned by management for which the employee is qualified and physically able to perform, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
